Turner Fellows Soar on the Wings of The Cal Turner Family Foundation
In the summer of 2003, Franklin Road Academy joined a long list of recipients who have been blessed by Mr. Cal Turner, Jr. and the legacy he is leaving through his family's foundation by virtue of his incredible gift of discernment. Discernment describes "the ability to determine the value and quality of an event; the activity of going past the mere perception of something to make detailed judgments about that thing." A discerning individual is considered to possess wisdom and be of good judgment, especially with regard to subject matter often overlooked by others. Most certainly, Mr. Turner's instincts, leadership, and innate ability to recognize the value of service have made him one of the most distinguished philanthropists in the state of Tennessee.
The Turner family has enjoyed a strong relationship with Franklin Road Academy for a great many years. Journey Rocks FRA
Franklin Road Academy hosted the school's largest annual fundraising event, Stars & Guitars, at TPAC in downtown Nashville on Friday, February 24, 2012. The event featured a silent auction, live auction, buffet dinner, and concert by musical mega-stars Journey, as well as guest comedian, Henry Cho.
