Welcome to the Lower School at Franklin Road Academy, where we believe that education is a collaborative process involving faculty, parents, and students.

Our nurturing, dedicated faculty takes pride in their teaching. Our teachers are lifelong learners, and they stay current in teaching methodology and practices by taking advantage of professional growth opportunities. Our faculty members care about students and they strive to make learning fun.

We are also blessed with wonderful parent support at FRA. Our parents provide valuable assistance in the library, art, and music departments, and they are invaluable resources in the classrooms. Our parents also support the school through donations, fundraisers, and attendance at school events. Parent involvement is extremely important to a child's education and we are fortunate to have parents actively involved in the educational process.

At FRA we are extremely proud of our students. They are actively involved in the exciting process of discovery and learning. They thrive using our curriculum which stresses mastery of basic skills. The students are challenged by the hands-on activities, cooperative learning, and discovery strategies employed by our teachers. Our students also have the opportunity to utilize our state-of-the-art technology labs and participate in enrichment courses that include library, foreign language (Spanish and French), art, physical education, and science lab.
