I am pleased to serve as Franklin Road Academy's Dean of Studies. As Dean of Studies, I support the teachers and staff of FRA in fulfilling our school mission by overseeing the school's on-going curriculum assessment, implementation, professional development, and accreditation. There are four critical questions we consider as we design our plan for accomplishing our mission:
FRA is committed to recruiting and retaining outstanding faculty who are well qualified and who have a heart for young people. Our comprehensive professional development program includes mentoring, funding for continuing education, and a summer grant program. Teachers take advantage of multiple opportunities for shared leadership and collaboration.
The SAIS/SACS dual accreditation procedure is directed by the Dean of Studies. All FRA faculty and staff participate in this process of on-going school improvement on a five year cycle. Annual goals are set and measured through a school-wide action plan. The most recent accreditation process was completed in March, 2007. We invite you to review the accreditation report (PDF).
Information regarding grade-specific curriculum, college placement, school profiles, academic and extracurricular activities are available for each school:
I appreciate your interest in FRA and I am happy to answer any questions you may have. Please contact me if you would like more information about curriculum or professional growth.
