Program Guide 2006-2007
Pre-K 4
- Language:
- identifies name, recognizes upper case and lower case letters; recognizes letter sounds; listens to stories; follows directions
- Math:
- recognizes shapes and numbers 1 - 10; counts to 20; sorts and classifies patterns with 3 to 4 repetitions; understands one to one correspondence
- Centers:
- housekeeping; music/listening; blocks; letters; math; games; puzzles; computers; sand; art
- Units:
- vary according to seasons and holidays
- Motor Coordination:
- builds with construction sets; manipulates pencil, markers, crayons, and paint brushes; jumps, hops, skips, and balances on one foot; uses alternate feet on stairs
- Socialization:
- follows 2-3 step directions; works cooperatively in small groups; attentively listens to a story for 10-15 minutes; works and cooperates with adults
- Enrichment Programs:
- Foreign Language, Guidance/Counseling, Library and Music
Pre-K 5
- Language:
- recognizes uppercase and lowercase letters, letter sounds, capital and lowercase letter formations; follows multi-step directions
- Math:
- counts to 50; recognizes numbers 1-20; patterning, sorting and graphing objects; recognizes and draws shapes; understands one to one correspondence
