Prom Fashion Show

During March of my freshman year, Jacquelyn Chenger and Kathleen Strawn, two juniors at the time, ran the first FRA Prom Fashion Show that they would later pass on to be under my supervision. That year it benefited the Thousand Wells Project, a charity brought to their attention earlier that year by Christian group, Jars of Clay.

On March 29 of this year, the third annual Fashion Show took place. Sara Beth Gideon and I were in charge of coordinating the show this year and decided to give all of the proceeds to the Gilda's Club of Nashville which serves as a sanctuary and support center for cancer patients and their families.

The show included twelve couples from the Junior and Senior classes; eight door prizes donated from different businesses around Nashville, and stunning dresses and tuxedos provided by The White Room and American Tuxedo. Along with a night of pleasantly unskilled modeling, a total of $632 was raised to go to Gilda’s Club.

After being handed the reigns to this wonderful and entertaining charity event, I could not be more thankful for everyone who helped me or happier with the show’s outcome.
