Admission Timeline
If you are interested in applying for the 2008-2009 school year, please contact the Admission Office at your earliest convenience.
The following timeline sets forth the typical admission process for applicants. We do, however, work with families in the spring and summer after this timeline has been completed.
September and October
Prospective families submit completed applications.
November
Students and families attend Open House events.
- December-February
- Prospective families take necessary steps to insure that the Request for Records form is completed and delivered to the student's current school and that the Recommendation Forms are completed and returned to Franklin Road Academy.
- Entrance Evaluations are conducted.

ISEE Testing (Independent School Entrance Exams) for Grades 5-12
Prospective students may register for this test online. Please contact the Admission Office with any questions about this process.
Testing and Observation for Prekindergarten and Kindergarten
The Admission Office contacts prospective families to schedule a testing date.
- Prekindergarten:
- Observation dates are scheduled in January.
- Kindergarten:
- Evaluations for siblings will be held in December. Evaluations for all other applicants will be held in January.
- Please allow approximately ninety minutes for the evaluation.Observations and evaluations are developmentally based. Applicants will join 4-6 other children for an enjoyable morning of school and play in a preschool class environment. January
Records and Recommendation forms for all grades should be received by mid-January. A representative from FRA contacts prospective families to schedule an admission interview. (Please contact the FRA Admission Office if you are unable to meet the recommended deadline.)

- Acceptance letters are mailed.
