2008-2009 Cheerleading

Basketball Cheerleading is a busy, busy sport! With 26 regular season games (both boys & girls games!) the Cheerleaders actually cheer 52 games plus tournament and district games. This year, the Basketball Cheerleaders were led by senior Captain Carrie Acree, who choreographed many half-time dances and kept the squad moving! Junior Co-Captain Tyler Hancock helped Carrie with her efforts.

We say a fond farewell to seniors Carrie Acree and Jackie Pitts. Both girls have put in quite a bit of cheering time at FRA. The rest of the squad included junior Tyler Hancock, sophomores Katherine Akers, Kate Harley, and Allison Grant and freshmen Kaissling Akers and Malone Wayland.

The Cheerleaders not only cheer and dance, but they also “treat” players to weekly snacks, homemade goodies and special signs for their lockers. They were a very hardworking group of girls who represented FRA to the fullest with their spirit and enthusiasm!
