2007-2008

The 2007 - 2008 Panther Hockey Team ended the season with a record of 7 wins, 12-losses, and 1 tie. This was the best season in the team's short four year history. The GNASH Hockey Division is made up of 20 teams; 10 each representing the North and the South. As our sport continues to grow in Middle Tennessee, the opportunity to include more of the students, both male and female, will increase. Hockey is a sport which trains and plays games off-campus; this sometimes leave it in the shadows regarding attendance. Thanks to all of the students, faculty members, and parents who traveled to our games and supported this effort all year.

The Team has been blessed with the talents of many players, both experienced and novice. To highlight a few of these who had a great season were senior and Captain Austin Sohr, senior Alex Orga (All-Star), and senior Tripp Richards. I would also like to emphasize the most key position on the team, goalie Bryce Whittington, who came to FRA in 2007 to join the school and the Panther Hockey Team. Bryce played every game to completion and helped to bring to FRA the best record in the school's history. This summer we will again start an early training season in July. We ask that everyone with a desire to play hockey to come practice with the team as we get ready for our October 2008 start.
