Did She Ever Tell Anyone?
She roamed through the halls as if unseen
She would look longingly at groups of friends passing by
But the question that haunts people’s thoughts
Did she ever tell anyone?
From class to class she’d sit and listen
With an occasional hand raise when no one would answer
Her style was so mysterious and yet so transparent
Did she ever tell anyone?
Alone she would sit in the lunch room
Waiting for the final bell to ring
And alone she would head home, nothing new
Did she ever tell anyone?
But one day was different
She waved to people down the halls
And at lunch she sat with people from her class
Did she ever tell anyone?
She knew all along her plan of action
When the students were told of her death the next day
They wondered what they could have done
But she never told anyone
