The Road
Pavement
Winding through the hills
Yellow lines
Running through the valley
Bridges
Crossing all the rivers
Stop signs
Topping every mountain
Once the world was covered with trees
Now it’s covered in concrete
Once flowers covered ever hill
Now they are only in gardens
Once the most common sight was grass
Now the most common sight is trash
Once the air was clean and pure
Now thick smog fills the air
Once mother earth smiled at every passer by
Now she cries for all her children
Bring back the world of our fathers
So we can give it to our sons and daughters
