| What is so great about the elections? | |

It’s election time again, but do we even really care? We see the excitement on the news and the signs around our neighborhood, but do we ever stop and pay attention to it all? Most of us see all of the coverage as a nuisance that will eventually go away. Suffrage is a right we all enjoy that was given to us under the United States Constitution. The elections give us an opportunity to practice the freedom that so many of us take for granted by placing the decision of a future leader in our hands. Most of us sacrifice nothing for our freedom, but we are still given the privilege of limited government intrusion into our daily lives. We should be informed this election year so that we will be able to decide a candidate based not on whom we like the most but instead the one best fit to govern this great nation.
